Kim Gainza
Big Wave Group Board Director & Farm Committee Chair
Kim Gainza has been involved in the Special Olympics since 2007 as a team parent and fundraiser for the Coastside Special Olympics basketball team. Under her management, the team has gone from seven players at its inception to over 50 players today, including four teams and 12 coaches who serve Special Olympics athletes from all of San Mateo County. Kim has brought in over 30 coaches over the years from local high schools and colleges, which provided them with unique and valuable learning experiences to take out into the world.
Dayton Nordin
Big Wave Group Board Director & Finance Committee Chair
Dayton Nordin is a senior partner for Ernst & Young, one of the largest professional consulting organizations in the world. There, he focuses on Corporate Finance and Transformation of the largest global organizations, and he brings his deep finance expertise to Big Wave. He has also been involved with not-for-profit organizations for over two decades. Beyond Big Wave, he currently serves on the Finance Committee of Perkins School for the Blind and is Vice Chair of the Appraisal Foundation.
Jeff Peck
Big Wave Founder and Board Director
Jeff Peck was CEO of Big Wave for the first 20 years. He founded Big Wave with the mission to provide affordable housing and a sense of community for adults with developmental disabilities.
Leslie Nordin
Big Wave Group Board President and Membership Chair
Leslie Nordin is an attorney and mother to Sawyer, who will be a future resident of Big Wave. Since Sawyer’s birth in 2004, Leslie has been actively involved with the work of various non-profit organizations. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors of Perkins School for the Blind, Leslie has acted as a public spokesperson for multiple organizations that benefit children and adults with disabilities, including autism and visual impairment.
