Stephen St. Marie

Stephen St. Marie is an Economist, Regulatory Analyst, and Policy Advisor focused on energy, water, and environmental issues. He served as a Senior Regulatory Analyst at the California Public Utilities Commission and retired in 2023. Stephen excels in his analytical abilities and skills in adaptive organizations and has deep expertise in working with agencies, government officials and company executives. He has spent many years helping to resolve complex issues and competing interests to develop effective policies and regulatory actions. Steve has been volunteering with the Big Wave Project for nearly two decades.

Steve received a BA in Economics from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a Ph.D. in Economics from George Washington University in Washington, DC.
